Friends and sponsorship

The support given by our Friends is highly valued by the orchestra, and financially we depend on the loyal support of our Friends and our audience. 

Friends of the DChO

We have re-launched our Friends scheme for the 2024/25 season. If you would like to become a Friend, you can join when you purchase tickets where you will be invited to pay the annual subscription – either single or joint membership.  Once payment is received we will send you more details about your membership by email.

Alternatively, if you have already purchased tickets then you can join here and just purchase single or joint Friends’ membership. Just click the button below. Once payment is received we will send you confirmation of your membership by email.

We are keen to increase the number of our Friends, so please feel free to share the link to this page with anyone who might be interested.   

The annual subscription for Friends is £15 per year for individuals and £27 for joint membership.  This gives our Friends:

• Free glass of wine or soft drink in the interval
• Recognition in concert programmes
• Friends receive a free concert programme for each concert

The name, address and payment information you provide in the Friends subscription form will be held by us and used for the administration of the Friends scheme, including to provide Friends membership cards, to provide the benefits of the scheme (including publishing your name in the programme) and claim Gift Aid (if applicable).  The legal basis for this processing of your information is legitimate interests, i.e. the legitimate interest of Dorset Chamber Orchestra in administering the Friends scheme and providing the benefits of the scheme to you.  

If you do not wish your name to be published in our programmes to acknowledge you as a Friend of the orchestra, please email admin@dorsetchamberorchestra.org

As a Friend, unless you ask us not to, we will include your email address on the Dorset Chamber Orchestra mailing list: see further information about this below.

When you buy a ticket through our website or become a Friend of Dorset Chamber Orchestra we will ask if you wish to join our mailing list and/or if you wish to become a Friend.  If you agree, we will periodically email you with information about Dorset Chamber Orchestra and our events.  We will hold your name and email address securely and will not share any of your personal information with any third party.  

The legal basis for this processing of your information is consent.  You can withdraw your consent and ask to be removed from our mailing list at any time, by emailing admin@dorsetchamberorchestra.org (please put “Unsubscribe from mailing list” as the subject of the email).
